In Muscatine on Monday, October 30, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Very quiet day. Had lunch at Oregon Trail. Took the family to Bushery’s at night for TV.”
In Muscatine on Sunday, October 29, 1950, Dale wrote, “Up at 9 A.M. & got breakfast. Washed & greased the car. Took the family to Bushery’s in the afternoon to watch TV. Olsgaards were there. Home at 8:30 & to bed early.”
In Muscatine on Friday, October 27, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Wrote my weekly report. Stanley went to a school party at night. Dalene & I went to a show at night. Radke called on phone from hotel. Warm.”
In Muscatine on Thursday, October 26, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Nice day. I made 7 puzzle boards. Came home early with sore back. Went to Bushery’s at night to watch television.” Those puzzle boards were for a board game with marbles he called ‘Wahoo’ (above in 1948).
In Muscatine on Wednesday, October 25, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Pay day. Helen washed. Bought Dalene a new ball. Took Helen to library. Bowled at night. To bed about 11:30 P.M.” I guess Dalene broke her October 23 ball.
In Muscatine on Tuesday, October 24, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Olsgaard dropped in for a visit regarding tank truck inspection. Stanley & I went to Max’s to watch television at night. Took popcorn.”
In Muscatine on Monday, October 23, 1950, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Took the refrigerator motor to the plant & got it fixed for $1.07 (new starter). Works fine now. Bought Dalene a rubber ball. I went to Bushery’s at night to watch television.”
In Muscatine on Sunday, October 22, 1950, Dale wrote, “Ralph & Marie & Susan left about 11 A.M. Took Stanley to Carl Strauss’s farm in the afternoon. Dalene & I went to a show. I worked on the refrigerator after supper. Cooler.” Dale’s sister Marie was married to Ralph Kimmel; Susan was their daughter.
