In Muscatine on Tuesday, March 30, 1954, Dale wrote, “Worked 4 hours. Took Helen to dentist & to pick out new spring coat. Went to high school at night for supper & to listen to high school music groups sing.” One of the music groups was the boy’s quartet, above.
