In Minneapolis on Tuesday, November 15, 1955, Dale, Helen, and Dalene moved from a tourist cabin to their house in Columbia Heights. He wrote, “Vern Lowe brought furniture from Muscatine at 1 P.M. Snow storm and cold. Miserable day. Couldn’t get our kitchen stove hooked up. Discouraging. Ate supper out.” The next day, they enrolled Dalene in school in Columbia Heights.
