On Wednesday, November 15, 1950, Dale wrote, “Still at folks. Dad is better every day. Turned cattle in corn field & fixed gate. Washed Marie & my cars. Lloyd & I put glass cloth on the back porch of folks’ house in town. Warm, 70° & windy.” Lloyd and Marie were Dale’s brother and sister.
